Brief Account

  • Middle East Journal of Language, Literature and Translation (MEJLLT) will launched in 2024.
  • MEJLLT is published by Librarie Du Liban Publishers, Beirut, Lebanon
  • Editor-in-Chief: To be announced once MEJLLT is officially launched.
  • MEJLLT has an international advisory editorial board. Members are selected from various universities and countries in the Arab region and beyond.
  • MEJLLT publishes in English only. However, the supportive data and examples in the text of the manuscripts may be illustrated in other languages using IPA symbols for transliteration where necessary.

Aims and Scope

The aim of MEJLLT is to promote original research in cross-language and cross-cultural studies, with a particular focus on Arabic-English contrastive and comparative studies. The journal serves as a platform for scholarly contributions in various areas, including but not limited to:

  • AI innovations in language and literature studies
  • Translation studies: Theory and practice
  • Comparative literature
  • Computer-mediated communication
  • Discourse analysis
  • Phonetics and phonology
  • Psycholinguistics and language acquisition
  • Reviews of significant and current publications in English and Arabic
  • Semantics and pragmatics
  • Sociolinguistics
  • Studies on foreign language education and speech-language pathology
  • Syntax

Furthermore, the journal is open to receiving theoretical and practical research papers on both English and Arabic languages, in particular, as well as studies on foreign language education and speech-language pathology. The journal also encourages reviews of significant and current publications.

Apart from articles and book reviews, MEJLLT provides space for notes, discussions, and relevant academic presentations and reports. These can include comments, statements on current issues, brief reports on ongoing research, or concise responses to other articles.

MEJLLT aims to serve as a platform for scholarly debate and research among all academics involved in language, literature, and translation across different language communities.
